EmmyKasbit is a brand that very few fashion aficionados, critics and enthusiasts can claim to be ignorant of. It was officially given recognition in 2014 although the real date goes back a year before then. The brand’s Creative Director, Emmanuel Okoro, is a young and talented Nigerian individual whose passion for the business propelled him to where he currently is today.

His brand designs and creates contemporary outfits for people from every demographical category in the world: young, old, male and female, etc.

Interestingly enough, to the inexperienced eye, it would seem as if Emmanuel Okoro makes use of one Ghana’s most prestigious fabric: the Kente; however, Okoro’s brand make use of Akwete fabric, a traditional and cultural material that is peculiar to the South-eastern region of Nigeria, from where he hails.

Among the numerous fashion shows in which EmmyKasbit has participated are the South African Menswear Fashion Week (2016 and 2017) and Heineken-sponsored Lagos Fashion and Design Week Fashion Focus (2017).

Without a doubt, Okoro’s brand has etched its name in the sands of time as one of the privileged few African fashion brands to have been patronised by top personalities such as Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Flavour, Denola Grey, Beverly Naya and including a top member of the British Parliament, Prime Minister Theresa May!
