Are african fabrics only for africans?

I posted a picture today on Facebook of a beautiful caucasian young girl wearing an african dress that fit her so much. One of the comments written below the picture was “nothing is sweet here this is afrikan style not mlungu/european style” and another one “Was gonna be sweet on black”.

My question is: are african fabrics made only for africans?

I am sure many of you will agree with me that the answer is NO.

Personally whenever I see caucasians wearing african fabrics I am so proud and happy because is a sign of change and it shows that our culture is spreading all over the world.

The fact is that the “revolution” has started already and nothing or nobody can stop it.

What are your views? Are african fabrics made only for africans?
